Workshop Info:
During the 2.5 hour workshop we will focus on poses and movements that are beneficial during pregnancy and labour. We practice postures that encourage partner participation in the birth process, and learn breathing, relaxation and massage techniques that can be incorporated daily to prepare for childbirth. The workshop will provide a nurturing environment to connect to yourself, your growing baby and your birth partner.
The workshop will cover:
-Partner yoga poses to support (or be supported by) and connect to your partner, while stretching the body and calming your mind.
-Gentle partner massage techniques that can be incorporated into your daily routine, as well as labor and birth.
-Discussion and practice of postures/movements commonly used during labor.
-Breathing and relaxation techniques for pregnancy and labor.
-A guided relaxation for parents-to-be.
-We use lavender scented massage oil in the practice, close with cool lavender towels for the relaxation, tea and light refreshments offered after the practice. A time for self-care for you both!
The workshop is open to pregnant women (all trimesters) and their partners (partner, friend or support person).
Workshop is held in English.
